Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly) is a rapper who is known for his unique style. Baker was born in Houston, Texas on April 22 in 1990 to an German and English Scottish family. His parents, each missionaries took him to many trips during his early days. James Colson Baker, his father, was depressed and was unemployed. His mother Sonia Alane had left him as he was nine. Baker and his father relocated to Denver and lived in the home of his dad's aunt. Baker's poverty was the reason to be bullied by children in the area. When he was in sixth grade, he began listening to rap. Colson Kelly Baker was born 22 April 1990 in Texas, United States. The music he creates blends modern, alternative hip-hop along with rock. Prior to making the move to Bad Boy Records Baker released four mixtapes from 2007 to 2010. In the wake of delivering his lyrics quicker than a bullet train the Cleveland artist saw an explosive rise to fame in 2011. The rapper went from releasing self-released tapes before signing with labels. The fame of this Cleveland rapper skyrocketed after the release of his debut mixtape in late the year.
