Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends Soul gospel Jazz and R&B to create a unique mix. Avery Sunshine's work has led her all over the world, from Broadway to European festivals and clubs to even her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's real the name of Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her music career playing the piano and singing in church. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical instruction began with Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You a house 12 issued exclusively in Japan and has since been remixed by a variety of producers and has become a staple in her live show. Her voice also appeared in the music video for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was commissioned to be the main keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls the stage show of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became the focus of notice during the four shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
